The evening includes light refreshments and live music. This event is free for CHM members with advanced registration up to the quantity admitted under your membership.
Delve into the vast history of blues, jazz, and, folk music in Chicago as seen in the photographs of Raeburn Flerlage. Take in a display of original prints and posters from the Museum’s collection featuring music legends—such as John Coltrane, Elizabeth Cotton, Muddy Waters, and Dizzy Gillespie—and discover the stories behind them in an engaging lecture. Light snacks and cash bar available.
Please join us to celebrate the launch of the WFMT Studs Terkel Radio Archive. The Archive will grow to feature more than 5,600 programs recorded by Studs on WFMT.This digital platform serves as the cornerstone of our work to make Studs’s legacy accessible to students, teachers, and curious minds of all ages through education initiatives, licensed re-use, and Bughouse Square with Eve Ewing—a new WFMT Radio Network original podcast.
