The annual Lincoln Colloquium is a national conference at which Lincoln scholars from through out the nation present historical insights concerning Abraham Lincoln. The colloquium is envisioned as part of a “Great Conversation”regarding Abraham Lincoln and his place in history. Lunch is included.

Actors from the Shattered Globe Theater will perform a special excerpt from the play, The Heavens are Hung in Black, Pulitzer Prize nominee James Still’s personal interpretation of the fevered, emotional months between the death of Abraham Lincoln’s young son and the signing of The Emancipation Proclamation. Senior Curator, Libby Mahoney, will be on hand to provide historical context for the play. This event promises to be a unique opportunity to experience the powerful life of President Abraham Lincoln in a whole new way. A lite reception featuring a cash bar will follow the program.
